today's workout- Running Time-27.28, Running Distance-3.8

I felt pretty decent on the run. It was really nice out. 65 degrees, breezy and sunny. I got up at 9 today, weird. Ran at about 9.30, got back and chilled after stretching and 200 situps/45 pushups.

I watched the french open the rest of the day. I love tennis. I actually ended up playing tennis tonight too. I also rented a movie that i saw the first half hour of. "Adaptation". Looks pretty good, I'll let you know how it turns out tomorrow.

Wendy's comin next week....highlight of my summer.

You better bet your life...

Today's workout- Running time-36.41, running distance-4.8 miles...

I felt really shitty, and cut the run short..it was supposed to be a six miler. I also did 200 situps/crunches/ and 40 pushups.
And I stretched fully afterwards.

I got up around 10.30 today..i'm gradually trying to get up early. That's when i ran also..as soon as i got up. Then i did my crunches and stretched while watching the French Open. Andre Agassi was on and he was down 2 sets to love. I was freakin out...cuz i couldn't believe it. He was getting his ass kicked by an unseeded player. But, as it seems, he turned the match around as soon as I started watching. This guy, Ancic, was winning 2 sets to 0 and up 3-2 in the 3rd set when i started watching. Agassi proceeded to win the 3rd set 6-4, then the 4th, 6-2, and the 5th, 6-4. I guess i have this effect on things. Crazy. ha..but Agassi rules. He's always been my favorite player.

I sat around the rest of the day until I had to work at 5...and i just got off, 11.30. I watched this movie, Enough, starring JLO. I remember seeing a preview that promoted the movie as this woman that got beat up by her husband and how she trained and trained to fight and then she fought and kicked his ass. Well..yeah..that's what happened...but the training and what not...lasted for the final 5 minutes of the movie and that's it. So overall this movie kind of sucked but i just couldn't tear myself away from it. I'm a pussy.

Music- The tunes during the trace was kind of slim pickens, so bear with me. The Who-You better, You bet, And...for the ladies...Three Doors Down-When I'm Gone.

Woohoo, I'm going to Moe's.

And as we wind on down the road.....

Today's workout- Running Time-29.52 , Running Distance-4.1 miles

I stretched a litte afterwards and did 15 pushups. It was a shitty run. Way hot out and i just wasn't feeling it.
Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Worked today. It sucked, but ehh..what can you do. Played a heated game of axix and allies. I'm a huge nerd.
And I'm here. Wooo. I'm gonna go read now. But first, today's music.

Led Zeppelin-Stairway to Heaven(I heard this while tracing my run....greatness), Pink Floyd-Wish you were here(last song i heard before i came home tonight)

Great day for music...shitty day for running...i need to hit the sack.

Sunday's workout- Running time-46.19 , Running distance-5.9 miles

Started off pretty slow and then i finished the last mile pretty hard. It was a nice night to run.

Total mileage for the week of May20-May26- 26 miles
Total mileage for the summer-29 miles

Today(monday)- I just couldn't fit a workout in...so i'm going to run the rest of the week.

Went golfin today, shot a 50 on a par 3 course..ha. Got some hawaiian ice...the summer is going good so far. Stay in touch.

Today's workout- Running Time:29.58 , Running Distance-approx.4miles

I ran with my brother today, so it wasn't too fast. The route was also untraceable so the distance is pretty approximate.

Yesterday, I went to the Chatham Glenwood Class AA sectional. Here is what went down.

It was a nice and cool night. A night which saw several quincy athletes qualify and several more just miss. They almost qualified as much as my senior year team did which would have been quite a feat considering how many underclassmen made it. Field events-Randall Robbins(So.) jumped 6-2 in the high jump to get second and qualify. He got pretty lucky.
Jaret Anders(So.) won the pole vault with a 13-9, second was at like 12-6.
Robert Young(So.) just missed qualifying in the Discus finishing 4th with a toss of 150
Alex Douglas(Jr.) jumped to a 2nd place finish in the triple jump with a 45-8.
The 4X8 team of David Zimmerman(Jr.), Billy Marquart(So.), Isaiah Robbins(Fr.), and Carson Smith(Jr.) won in 8.02. Their best is 7.58. They should do pretty well at state.
In the 3200, Stephen Pifer of Edwardsviller ran a solo 9.11. Crazy. Quincy's John Haines(Sr.) ran to a 5th place 10.02, and Eric Saka(So.) ran to a 10.08.
Carson Smith(Jr.) won the 800 in 1.59. He was just running to win as he had another race to run. David Zimmerman got 6th with a 2.03.
Pifer also won the 1600 in a solo 4.09. Incredible. Lane Coonrod(Jr.) of quincy got 3rd with a 4.32 and just missed qualifying.
The 4x4 team got really lucky and finished 2nd. They ran a good race against weak competition. The team of Billy Marquart(So.), Carson Smith(Jr.), Isaiah Robbins(Fr.), and Jordan Slee(So.) ran a 3.26.3. They'll be good next year.

Here we go...

Today's(Friday) workout- Running time:27.35, Running Distance-approx. 3.8 miles

Moving abit quicker today, felt decent, a little tired towards end of run. No situps or pushups afterwards. Just some stretching.

Songs i heard while tracing my run: Aerosmith-Same Old Song and Dance(Heard right off the bat, decent song so i thought i'd include it), Michael Jackson-Beat it(Ha), ACDC-Shook me all night long(yeah..yeah.same old same old), Then finished with Eric Clapton-After midnight.

movies-saw the matrix reloaded again last night. It was a little better this time...but i still hold a slight advantage to X-men 2, but just barely. Then i stayed up last night and watched this shitty movie made from a stephen king novel, Thinner. While it sucked, i just couldn't pull myself away from it.

This is the message from the white man from town.

Today's workout- Running time:29.07 , Running distance- approx. 3.9 miles

It felt pretty good...it was a beautiful day. Nice and cool...and perfectly sunny. Legs hurt a bit, so i took it pretty easy. Not a blistering pace as you can see.

Ain't got much else for ya today...i'm a hick

Today's workout- Running Time: 31.43 , Running distance-4.4 miles

I ran in the afternoon. It was nice and cool out. I went on an odd route. I'm gonna start doing that now. Just go out whichever way i want to and kind of run for time instead of distance. But then afterwards, i'm gonna trace my route in the car. The odometer seems pretty acturate. I was going around 7.15 pace it appears. Not too fast, but i picked it up towards the end.
Afterwards, 150 crunches, 35 pushups.

The cubs are still in first place, even though they lost 3 out of 4 to the cardinals. I hate the cardinals. It's ok though, Kwood is on the mound tonight. Go cubbies!

Music- While i was tracing my route, these are the songs i heard and liked. Ben Harper-Steal my kisses, Peter Gabriel-Sledgehammer(ha, i love that song), Rolling stones-Start me up.

That is all for now.

Running 5/13-5/19: Total mileage-3 miles...ha...i'm just startin

Today's workout- I ran for 29.22, so i'll call it about 4 mileage. This was done in the late afternoon, but it wasn't too hot. Just humid. It actually rained for part of my run. Afterwards did 140 crunches and 30 pushups. Felt a lot better today. But not great. I'm gonna try to just run 4 miles each of the next 4 days and then take satuday off. Then venture for a 6 miler on sunday. Gradual is my stile.

Music- Rage Against The Machine. It's really great for working out. If i had to pick a few songs, I'd take Killin in the name of , Freedom, Guerilla Radio, and Calm like a bomb. Hard stuff usually isn't my cup o' tea, but i can handle some rage.

Movies- Saw the matrix-RELOADED yesterday evening. It was not as good as the first matrix, or the 4 matrices after that one supposedely, heh...sorry if i ruined anything for anyone. It was a good movie, and i'm sure i'll enjoy it more the next time i see it. It's worth a look though...so go see it.

Summer- My first week home was a success.Nice and relaxing, but now the work must begin. I'm pretty content right now in just running and working all summer and not thinking about much else. I just want to go with the flow and have fun.

"It has to start somewhere, it has to start some time. What better place than here, what better time than now."

First day on the long road back to running.
My watch says i ran for 22 minutes and 47 seconds. I wasn't really moving too fast so i'll call it 3 miles. Standard 7.30 pace
It was a little tough running, but it sure felt good.

I also did 120 situps/crunches, and 30 pushups.
That will gradually build also.

But for today, that is the workout

Total Mileage-3 MILES

In other news, I went bowling last night and threw out some scores between 130 and 140, i don't remember exactly. Tearing up the lanes...oh yeah.Weird thing is I used to average 140 when i was 13. Now i'm hard pressed to break it.

Gotta work tonight but until then, I've got so much to do..and i've already done like 34 things...and...ahh..actually...I got nothing

Wednesday, May 14, 2003

Oh...there it is.

I've been a sloth so far since i've been out of school. And i gotta say it's been awesome. Yesterday I went to the driving range and nathan and I hit a couple buckets of balls. Golf balls....pervert.

Anyway, i've been sittin around a lot..and playing a lot of video games. Although that is all about to change.

I started working yesterday. Mr. Bills Bar and Grill, Quincy, IL, 62301, Phone #- 217-222-0799, order something, i'll deliver it.
i have to work tonight also. It's gonna blow.

But for now, i'm gonna go drop a duece, read a little of my book and also do some crunches and pushups before i go to work.

back in q-town.

Shiat...well...i got a lot on the agenda...run...work...sleep. For the next 3 months.
wow

I should start running tomorrow if i feel up to it. I haven't decided if i want to take some more time off since i'm a little sick.
I plan to go hit some golf balls tomorrow too maybe. That would be cool. Saw X-men 2 today for the second consecutive day. It was awesome again. I give it a huge thumbs up. But still, i gotta say the coolest part of the movie was the matrix preview at the beginning. Muhaha. This weekend baby...it's going to rock.
So i'm gonna get to sleep probably. Music...............Paul McCartney- Maybe I'm amazed

Conference at Butler-

I was disgusted. I got sick the night before and i ran even worse than last time.

It made me think about quitting for the first time in my life. Quit running altogether.

But i chose not to. I chose to bust my ass this summer instead. I am not at peace with the sport of Track and Field just yet.

I've got work to do. See ya later....Maybe

Finals.....I was like whatever.

Anyway...My first final today...it was alright...my second final...I bet it's ass hurts because i raped it. Seriously....I expect nothing other than an A+.

No workout today because i had to study and actually take finals. Soooo.....blaaaah.

gotta go now...still have 2 finals left.

Monday, May 05, 2003

I raufed at practice. It was pretty sick....french fries, soda, and onions from a burger I ate. It was orange. Wanna hear what made me blow chunks? Alllllrighty then..

Today's workout:

Mile Warm-up, 400, 300, 200. Doesn't seem to bad eh? The thing is...they were fast...really fast.

Here are the times. 56, 42, 26, rauf

I couldn't move after the 200. The 56 felt hard, like i coudlnt' go any faster. The 300 was very tough...like I was about to pass out. I chilled for a while, then i did the 200, At top end. I was trying as hard as i could. Normally i could usually run a 25 or even a 24.. but i juust couldn't run any faster.
It hurt...so maybe i'll do well this weekend.

Peace

Race Summary for Butler Twighlight-
I sucked...2.12.

Up to this point it's the worst race in my life. Complete and utter dissatisfaction. I vow never to run an 800 meter race that slow for the rest of my life.

There were some good performances by uic i guess

Here's the website.

Short post today....
Yesterday's workout(thursday)- 30 minute run in a rainy, wet environment. It felt like i was aqua jogging...it was so wet.
Light stretching also.
Mileage-we'll call it 4 miles.

Today- Nothing except some stretching.

Tomorrow i'm entered in the 800 meter run at the Butler invite. I'll have a race summary and what not for you enjoyment.

Catch you all on the flip side
